Okay, so you’re in LA all set to play your first gig in North America, before some dates at SXSW and the most awesome thing happens…
Charly Coombes and the New Breed, were planning to open for Foo Fighter Taylor Hawkin’s side project The Coattail Riders at the Legendary Viper Room. Unfortunately Taylor had to cancel hours before the show.
The gig was set up by Rami Jafee touring keyboardist for the Foo Fighters (and long time member of the Wallflowers). When Taylor cancelled, Rami called in a favor and invited some other friends to join Charly Coombes at the Viper Room.

After Charly Coombes and the New Breed finished their set they were joined on stage by DAVE GROHL on guitar as well as members of LA Band All Day Sucker and a few other musicians.

Charly Coombes (the youngest brother of Supergrass siblings Gaz and Rob Coombes) and the New Breed write catchy high energy pop songs.
…and are killer live.
If you’re headed down to SXSW you’ll wanna check them out March 17th at Threadgill’s South Store. Here’s a taste, check out this track, it’s called "Hell Below"…enjoy
