Capital H formed in late 2007 and played as an instrumental three-piece until April 2010, when they found Michelle Scott, whose vocal approach fit the Toronto-based band’s energetic, progressive-leaning style. The Fields, their first album as a quartet, came out that October.
The band’s plans for 2011 include releasing a series of four stylistically distinct EPs, each containing a cohesive group of songs that are the result of experimenting with specific methods of songwriting and approaches to instrumentation.
The first such EP, Box -> Sun, is out now.
