This is the Indie Track of the Day Giveaway. It’s just like it sounds—every day we spotlight a song from an indie band/artist and we let you keep the track to do with whatever you like (within the limits of the law).
The song is part of our podcast, so if you want it (you do), search on iTunes for the ExploreMusic.com podcast, or just scroll down to the bottom of this page and click the links.
B.C.-based quartet TV Heart Attack have good reason to be excited about their new album, Lost In The Sway.
Guitarist Art Guest used to dream of starting a band and making it onto The Ongoing History Of New Music show with Alan Cross.
“Once a week I would tune in – he would paint a picture with his stories – and I would try and see myself in them,” Art wrote in his blog. After TV Heart Attack’s song "AO" was featured on ExploreMusic’s "Five Songs You Gotta Here Today" this past December, Art wrote, “Sometimes the little victories are the ones we cherish the most, and today was a perfect reminder of ‘the dream’ I once held so closely.”
The track is also included on Sega’s Official 2010 Winter Olympic Game and on the full length Lost In The Sway album.
Frontman Jason Corbett says, “I’m always at a constant struggle with the sound. It’s like, half of me is yearning for stripped down melodic, textured rock music with the guitars almost being an afterthought – and the other half of me just wants to rock and roll. With “Lost in the Sway,” we went as big as possible, because I knew that I may never get another chance to do a record like this.”
