Indie Track

Winter Gloves: “Plastic Slides”

This is the Indie Track of the Day Giveaway. It’s just like it sounds—every day we spotlight a song from an indie band/artist and we let you keep the track to do with whatever you like (within the limits of the law).

The song is part of our podcast, so if you want it (you do), search on iTunes for the ExploreMusic.com podcast, or just scroll down to the bottom of this page and click the links.

Winter Gloves is a Montreal-based four-piece whose sound incorporates new wave, pop, and the glockenspiel.

Their debut full length, About A Girl, was produced by Jon Drew (F***ed Up, Arkells, Tokyo Police Club) and released in the fall of 2008.

The follow-up, All Red, consists of ten songs that the band recorded in their Montreal studio last winter after tweaking on and off stage during a year of touring.

Lead vocalist/guitarist/synth-player Charles F produced the effort, which will be released September 7th.
