Mike Sullivan Interviews Tony Sly of No Use For a Name

No Use for a Name

No Use For  A Name is one of the first real punk bands I ever got into as a kid.

I remember going to see them in high school and not being able to get into the show…so I took an empty street car back to the subway, and then home to the suburbs where I grew up.

As a result the 2 friends I went with to the show (whom were also sisters, and managed to get into the gig) bought me “More Betterness!” for my birthday to help ease the pain.  It worked…great album!

Anyways, NUFAN have been around for 22 years now…I have interviewed bassist Matt Riddle before, however this is the first time I got to chat with the legendary Tony Sly.  He turned out to be a funny, smart, and kinda average dude.  It was cool.
