I’m not honestly sure we need a dramatization of Kurt’s story—I mean, haven’t we heard it all over the last twenty years—but there seems to be a demand for it, so production is going ahead.

I’ve spoken to Courtney personally about the project and she’s all for it; as you might guess, she’s DEEPLY involved in many aspects of the film, including who gets cast as whom. She wants Scarlett Johansson to play her. And Scarlett would do it, too. As for who will play Kurt, all we know is that it won’t be R Patz. We hope.

Meanwhile, director Oren Moverman (co-director of the Bob Dylan bio-pic, "I’m Not There," which took much, er, artistic license with the subject) promises to be a little more careful with this subject.
