"The Messenger" director Oren Moverman is set to direct an as-yet-untitled film about Kurt Cobain and he is also in negotiations to rework the screenplay for the project, according to Billboard. Moverman’s co-writing credits include the script for the Bob Dylan-based/inspired movie "I’m Not There."
Material for the Cobain biopic will come at least partially from Charles R. Cross’s 2001 biography, "Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain."

I’ll be interested to see the movie if it offers some insight into the creation of the music and maybe if it sheds some light on Kurt as a person—as in, what he was like. I’m not interested in speculating on the "why," and I hope the people making the movie aren’t either.
