Dark Night Of The Soul, the guest-heavy album written by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse that was supposed to come out last May but didn’t due to legal issues with EMI, will actually be released later this year.
The package that was made available last year included a blank CD-R with the message to "use it as you will," which many interpreted as a suggestion to download and burn the music. Also, NPR has had the album available for streaming.
Danger Mouse says that the legal issues surrounding the project are now "in the past," sort of explaining, "The problems of last year are last year, so hopefully it will be out soon in June or something like that."

Currently, Danger Mouse is focused on Broken Bells, the band that he started with The Shins’ James Mercer. Click here to get familiar with that.
