I am a VERY BIG FAN OF THE HIP!
I will not go to another Hip Concert… unless I absolutely LOVE the ticket.. if I think about where the seat may be… it will be… DO NOT PURCHASE…My apologies to other Hip Fans… but The Hip have The MOST ARROGANT, COLD, & UNFRIENDLIEST GROUP OF FANS….
I have wasted too much money on Hip Concerts that really left me really EMPTY…and one concert, I left badly bruised & aching…. because of the crowd!
definitely NO OUT DOOR CONCERTS FOR ME! as far as The Hip goes

Dave – Why would you be interested in this article if you are not a hip fan? and why would you then make a comment about the fans and the band…that you obviously have no idea what you are talking about?? I’m a huge hip fan and I have loved them for a very long time. I have seen them many times (19) live and they have never disappointed. Downie is a great front man with an amazing stage presence and I absolutely love his lyrics….Armed with skill and it’s frustration and grace, too

Hey Dave, move to the USA and listen to Britney Spears. I’m from the States and the Hip could be one of the top 5 bands of all time and just keep getting better. This is great news! Hip Hip Hip. Wish we had talent like them to call our own.

The Hip are # one. The knob that wrote the bad review about the best Canadian band ever must be a Brian Adams fan. Or maybe just a close minded person. I look so forward to the new music from the hip. I really think this guy that bashed the Hip has no class at all. Here’s to the power of the Hip I have seen them 26 times, and I am looking forward to the 27th..

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everybody is different but, THERE’S NOTHING MORE CANADIAN THAN THE HIP. They’ve survived this long for a reason. Some members have their own projects they work on but they will always be a great team together.
Their music is ever evolving. Your loss. They work hard at what they do and it shows.
A Hip Fan from day one. Well, the first time I saw the video for “New Orleans” on Much Music years ago. -
Personally, I’m excited to hear of another album in the works. At first, I’d also love to say ‘there is nothing more Canadian than The Hip’ but after moving overseas for 10 years I can tell you, they are much more than that. I know of a little public radio station (PBS) in Australia, up in the mountains, where The Hip are in full rotation – and the DJ is not even Canadian. There are Hip fans everywhere and in the strangest places and their music represents ‘good times’ no matter where you live. That fan ‘arrogance’ is being mistaken for pride and I think we have the right to be proud of this group of guys, ESPECIALLY considering how much the music market is dominated by American bands … yet they shine through. I hope they keep churning out Hip records as well as side projects so we don’t have to listen to the likes of Justin Beaver. Lastly, if you don’t like being bumped around, don’t go to an outdoor rock concert … it’s par for the course and has been a well known fact for many many years, people that complain about being bumped in a rock concert are probably the same people responsible for the necessity to have instructions on a bottle of shampoo (no folks, it doesn’t go in the eyes).

Why do you put out music you bunch of untalented twits. None of your albums went anywhere for sales in the US and I am Canadian. I am proud to support Rush and other talented Canadian bands.
