The Offspring Want To “Get Right Back Into It”

3 years ago by Adam Morrison |

In a recent interview with Sun Media, The Offspring’s Noodles confirmed that the band doesn’t plan to make fans wait another five years between albums. "We want to get right back into it," the guitarist says. "Dexter’s met already with our producer Bob Rock. He’s been out to Hawaii to hash out some ideas. We don’t have any studio time slated, but once we get through this tour, we’ll start up pretty quick — quite possibly this fall."

"We don’t have any songs yet," Noodles continues. "Maybe a couple of demos here and there. But we’re looking at old songs and seeing if we could flesh those out. And it’s a lot easier to write in the studio. We’ll come in and start shooting the s— about whatever we were watching on the news or celebrity scandals or whatever. And some of that will seep into songs. I think you see a lot of that on this record."
