Indie Week is coming up in Toronto from October 13 to 17. Here’s the latest on the expert panels that will be presented on Saturday the 16th.
Indie Week is honoured to announce the major-league hitters who are headlining the music-industry panels, including Jennifer Beavis (Ole), Kim Cooke (Pheromone Recordings), Jodie Ferneyhough (Creative Director, Universal Music Publishing), Ron Lopata (VP A&R, Warner), Stacey Mitsopulos (entertainment & media lawyer), Ron Porter (Director of Copyright, CMRRA), and Parkside Mike Renaud (Upper Management, Hidden Pony).
The panles are taking place Saturday October 16, 2010 at the Drake Underground. Entrance is $20, which includes a wristband that allows access to all showcases and parties throughout the festival (for the schedule, see http://www.indieweek.com). If you’ve already got a wristband, entrance is free!

DEMO LISTENING – critiques by the cream of the crop! This is your chance to be heard by the top ears in the biz! Have your song evaluated and critiqued by a cross section of music industry heavyweights. Even if you do not have a song to submit, this is a rare occasion to hear what the pros hear and gain valuable insight into what makes a good song and a great recording. All songs must be submitted on CD and must be accompanied by five (5) lyric sheets. Songs will be selected at random.
