well, that's at least something racial, but how can I fault a guy who is proud of his unique love of a band? good on ya', TLR!

I saw RUSH for the first time in 1979 on the "Hemispheres" tour I was 15. Discovering that Album was a similar emotional experience to discovering J.R.R. Tolkien's Trilogy. The early albums were like books that shaped and changed my life; completely and forever. It bordered on a religious experience for me. My second favorite album is "Caress of Steel" I had that 8-track playing in my parents LTD when I; found my special purpose with a beautiful blue jeaned brunette. How I would love to hear "Fountain of Lamneth" or "Necromancer" live in concert. But my least favorite RUSH album is far better than 99% of any other bands best album. I saw them on the second show of this current "Time Machine" tour at the legendary Starlight theatre in Kansas City Mo. I am even more psyched to see that show a second time in St. Louis Mo. on the 22nd of August. I saw the original "'Moving Pictures" tour three times and I can honestly say they are tighter and play better than ever. I think we will someday find out that they are not normal humans but some highly advanced race from another place or time. Like wine they get better with age, it is not normal! This will make my 20th show I was so excited before last months show I hardly slept for two nights before. After watching your interview I might not sleep until the 22nd arrives and I make it an even 20. Thanks from my Heart for this interview, seeing RUSH is like Christmas morning when you are six years old. May the force be with you and the band always. LONG LIVE RUSH!!!
In regards to Tony's question regarding the intro to Jacob's Ladder (ESL Version). Geddy is (jokingly) referring to their then producer, Terry Brown. Highly unlikely Terry had anything to do with writing the song. Geddy says "From a long time ago…." At that point the song was really only 2 years old.
Rush like to make up nicknames for the people who are close to them. They used to call Terry Brown, Broonsie. Terry Brown and Rush parted ways after the Signals album. Their next album, Grace Under Pressure summed up their feelings at that point.
