New Clash Book

1 year ago by Alan Cross |

The Clash –the proper version of the Clash–was around for just six years but their influence is still being felt. And because they were so uncompromising in their stance, their politics and their way of doing business–and because they never, ever fell for the reunion trick–there’s a fascination with them that won’t go away. Part of this is a growing library of books written about them.

The latest is called The Clash: Essential Interviews–and it’s just like it sounds: all the important media interactions in the Clash’s career. Compiled and edited by uber-fan John Luerssen, the interviews start with a Melody Maker chat in November 1976 and move forward through 300 pages from there. It’s a special order thing for now, but just tell the bookstore you want The Clash: Essential Interviews by John Luerssen.
