Scarlett Johansson Sings

Seeing Scarlett Johansson making out with Peneleop Cruz was a nice surprise (in the Woody Allen flick Vicky Christina Barcelona).  This, however, came as an even bigger suprise.   Did you know she sings?  It’s no secret, I’m a huge fan of Columbia Recording artist Pete Yorn, especially his debut album and his latest (he has put out 4 now). Much to my suprise on the ‘Song you gotta hear’ feature on exploremusic.com, I found Pete doing a duet with the uber-hot Scarlett Johansson. It’s a simple catchy don’t have to think to much about little love song. Click here to hear & see

    You do know they actually have an album out together? It’s been out for about a month now.

    Hey Jeff

    You might be interested to know that Scarlett Johansson also released her first solo album called “Anywhere I Lay My Head” a year or two ago, which, surprisingly, was a bunch of Tom Waits covers. David Bowie even helped out on a couple of tracks. You can find some of the songs on youtube, but I’ll leave it to you to decide if she does Mr. Waits’ songs justice. It’s…interesting.

    Very nice. I’ve always liked her eversince The Horse Whisperer. She looks very cute as a brunette too.

    That was great – I must admit I was skeptical about her singing, but she’s really good. Guess that gives my husband another reason to love her!

    Straight up from the West Coast…I agree with the Vicky Christina Barcelona remark, however Scarlett made me want to throw up a little with her “Tom Waits”(my hero)covers but I must agree with her Peter Yorn duet. It was a splendid l’il surprise. It was recorded as a single like 3 years ago. She should really stick to being Ryan Renolds wife. Cheers!
