And following the song, a quick video featuring John, just months before his death, explaining the concept of birth, age, and death to a 4 year old Sean, as we approach the younger Lennon’s 35th birthday this October 9th, the very day John would have turned 70.

Wow. Just wow. One would think that was John singing if they had their eyes closed. I don’t remember ever hearing Sean Lennon sing, although he was on The View with Yoko a while ago. I don’t think he sang on the show, though, because Yoko was singing.
I remember reading about Julia Lennon’s death in John’s half-sister’s book, ‘Imagine This’. It must’ve been heart-wrenching for him, because he didn’t even have his father around at the time. It’s a good thing he had his aunts for support.

A talented player and singer, but joining the family business of riding on John’s coat tails.

tears came to my eyes when Sean says “I love you Daddy”. He, like every child, deserved to grow up with his father. Thank you for posting this beautifully sweet conversation between father and son.
