The Legend Adrian Belew and the real story of Thela Hun Ginjeet

2 years ago by Jeff Woods |

One of my favourite album covers, from the incredible guitarist Adrian Belew.  You may know his name from the band King Crimson. He’s the one that gives them the personality and presence that has long eluded Crimson leader Robert Fripp.   Belew is spirited in his playing and singing, appearing not to take himself too seriously while playing one seriously intense guitar.

A prime example would be the song Thela Hun Ginjeet.  I remember hearing it on the radio when it came out, and thinking there must be a very strange story behind it.  Turns out, it does come with a great story, which you’ll find told by Adrian Belew himself – just click HERE

Now, the song.  1st the original album version from King Crimson, so you can get the full effect, followed by a version performed by Adrian Belew live, so you can see how incredible he and the bands he assembles really are.

Wow, that story. Now I hear the song and I have the protagonist. Thanks
