With thanks to my pal Renee for passing this along, here’s a peek in side the life of a legendary American songwriter, who was always ‘on the road again’ in the 1970′s, breaking through near the end of that decade after a stop in a Toronto studio, with Guess Who producer Jack Richardson, to lay down a favourite song of many (my favourite of all time) ‘Night Moves’, which is only rivalled in my mind by his early 80′s gem ‘Against the Wind’. Few songs have more heart than these.
This isn’t current, but it’s a good watch, back when Seger was ‘a little too tall coulda’ used few pounds’.
As for Jeff Daniels, yet another ‘mid-western boy on his own’, so to speak. Who knew?
Enjoy,
Cheers,
Jeff.

Hey Jeff, I remember going to see Seger at Maple Leaf Gardens when he was touring the ‘Fire Inside’ album. He pulled out all the stops during his encores, playing Night Moves, Fire Lake, Still The Same and Against The Wind. My lady at the time didn’t know who he was when I invited her to the concert. After the show, she wanted to camp out in T.O to await Sam The Record Man to open so she could buy up all his albums.
