How to Find Out What’s Big on MySpace RIGHT NOW

2 years ago by Alan Cross |

I know it’s fashionable to dis MySpace as being the loser in the social networking wars.  And yes, some of the sites are the ugliest known to humankind since Geocities, but there’s still no easier way to check out new music.  As far as I’m concerned, if you’re an artist and you don’t have a MySpace page, you don’t exist.

The problem is that TOO many bands have MySpace pages.  Outside of a couple of exception, it’s been tough to break out of the MySpace universe into the world at large.  You might have 20 million plays of your songs, but with no one keeping track, you still might remained bottled inside.

That’s why We Are Hunted seems like a good idea.  It crunches data of what MySpace visitors are listening to RIGHT NOW and then offers a 60 second clip of the most-listened-to artist of that moment.  In other words, it’s real-time crowd-sourcing of music.
