ExploreMusic’s Mike Sullivan speaks with Amy Lee of Evanescence:

Evanescence are a rock band originating from Arkansas. Musically they have been compared to Linkin Park, Seether, with a bit of Tori Amos thrown in for good measure. Their self-titled third studio album is scheduled for release in October of 2011.

  Wow! I am so impressed with Amy Lee and Evanescence. It’s so rare to find an artist so totally immersed in every aspect of their craft. I think most singers just show up at the studio, sing their part, and leave. Amy is involved from writing the very first note to the final mix a few minutes ago! I am blown away by her intelligence. This is one rare Rock chick!
