Cynic Interview and Performance

Cynic released their debut album, Focus, in 1993, and they disbanded in 1996.

Cynic reformed in 2006 and released their second album, Traced in Air, in 2008.

This past May saw the release of the Re-Traced EP, which features four new versions of songs from Traced in Air plus one previously unreleased track.

I sat down with vocalist/guitarist Paul Masvidal and drummer Sean Reinert to talk about what brought them back to Cynic, the bands that Cynic has influenced, what genre they consider Cynic, and more, and then Paul performed "Integral."

    Good interview. Nice to see a couple of guys who take their music and legacy seriously,are totally appreciative of their fans and have a sense of humour about themselves. Thanks
