Progressive metal band Mastodon has spent the last year and a half touring behind their acclaimed fourth full length album, Crack the Skye.

ExploreMusic’s Mike Sullivan caught up with bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders at the Heavy MTL festival to talk about why the band doesn’t run around while they perform, the band’s plans for the near future, why they’ve agreed to tour with Deftones and Alice in Chains, and more.
