Interview with The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon

The Gaslight Anthem formed in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 2005, and they released their debut album, Sink or Swim, in 2007.

The band’s second full length, The ’59 Sound, came out in 2008. Widespread exposure followed.

Alan Cross sat down with guitarist/lead vocalist Brian Fallon at the Toronto stop on the band’s tour supporting their new album, American Slang. They talked about being a celebrity, life in Brooklyn, songwriting, and the new record.

    Just gotta say how cool a guy Brian is. The fact he is so enthusiastic when talking about music tradition is refreshing. He seems totally in awe of his band’s success and doesn’t take it for granted.
