WTF?

Mr. Trolololo Rises Again

2 years ago by Alan Cross |

His name is Edward Hil [sic], otherwise known as the “Trololo Man.”  Earlier this year, a 34 year-old performance of a 44 year-old lyric-less song (actually entitled “I Am Very Happy to Come Home at Last”—seriously) became a massive Internet hit.  Before you read any further, let’s familiarize ourselves with the “Trololo” clip which was shot in Sweden in 1976.

Still with me?  Good.  Because Mr. Hil, still much beloved in post-Soviet territories, is looking for someone—anyone—to write some lyrics for “Trololo.”  Best of luck with that.

I’ll be in Moscow tonight.  I wonder if Mr. Hil has any CDs for sale?

Thank you for putting that song in my head this morning. It’s going to stay there for the next several days.

Not that I mind. It’s a good song and an amuzing trend. :p
