Katy Perry has said that Miley Cyrus is "Britney Spears all over again." Yes, Miley’s new (some say, raunchy) style has convinced Katy that she (Miley) is "definitely headed the Britney route."

Well, it’s probably a better long-term career move than heading the Katy route would be.

Even so, aren’t Katy’s comments really just the awful calling the kettle black?

More along the lines of the insane telling the newspaper some stuff are some recent comments from Prince to the Daily Mirror. Check ‘em out, straight from the Artist’s mouth:

"The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it, and then they get angry when they can’t get it."

"The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good."

"They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you."

Those are certainly different ideas than I’m used to hearing from people in the music industry.

So, bands should all shut down their sites, like Prince did, and they should promote their albums solely by including CDs in newspapers, like Prince does?
