2007 – Prince
This is the year fans got their most bang for the buck. After seeing the Stones play all of three songs, Prince performed a 12-minute medley of his greatest hits. Imagine Dave Grohl’s surprise when Prince ripped into a few bars of “Best of You.”
2008 – Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Another Super Bowl, another veteran halftime act guaranteed not to offend.
2009 – Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band
It took organizers THIS LONG to get the Boss? Huh?
2010 – The Who
Please, please, please play “Won’t Get Fooled Again”….
