Any band with a name like this is worth a cocked eyebrow.  The fact that they’re Canadian (well, part Canadian, anyway) makes them slightly stranger still. Welcome to the porn rock of Wank Punter.

This six-piece (A SEXtet.  Of course.) straddles (sorry) both Toronto and Los Angeles and have two albums so far.  The first CD, Unlubricated (featuring the song “Backdoor Man,” naturally), was  released in 2007.  Their second, Plain Brown Wrapper, was just released.  This will no doubt endear them yet again to the bunnies on Playboy-TV, which often has them on to perform. 

Yes, Night Calls fans, that band you saw is Canadian.  If you read Playboy, Genesis, Swank and AVN for the articles, you’ll have seen their WP coverage.  If you get your news from Naked News, you may have seen their guest spot.  And if you’ve ever seen them live, you’ll no doubt remember their dancers known as the Fluffettes.

Southern Ontario will be treated to several shows next month, including an appearance at the Medical Marijuana and Hemp Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on July 18.
